The Holy Cow Cafe in Chilcompton, Somerset. Come and relax in our comfortable and homely café.  We serve delicious homemade food and great coffee using local produce wherever possible. Our suppliers include:

We have a location like no other. Set in the grounds of early 17th century Manor Farm the café garden overlooks St John’s church. If you don’t fancy coming to us by car, you can cycle or take a walk on the many public footpaths that surround us. Or if you’re short of time all of our food is available to take out.


Dorothy House Week

We are hosting a charity week on behalf of Dorothy House Hospice. We will be donating 10% of our takings for the week commencing on the 14th of November.  To help raise money we have a fabulous raffle with amazing prizes donated from local businesses, artists and designers! Raffle tickets are £1 and can be bought from the cafe. Tickets will be drawn at the end of the week at random, we will contact you if you have been successful.  See below for more information on prizes.


A unique and beautifully crafted wooden pen by local wood turner Pete Sinclair. Pete specialises in natural and exotic hard woods turning them into objects that are fantastically tactile and satisfying.  


Unwind and refresh at Mowhay with a £20 voucher. Choose from their luxury beauty treatments or signature holistic massages. Located onsite at Manor farm next to The Holy Cow. A true space to relax and release from the everyday stresses.

A festive Christmas Wreath or table decoration by Sandys Flowers who supplies all of our amazing and luscious flowers in the Cafe.

A chocolate fudge cake from Rachel at the Pudding Kitchen who bakes some of our mouth watering cakes at The Holy Cow. Glorious triple-layered chocolaty fudgeness!


A set of three traditionally crafted notebooks made by Bristol based stationary brand ola. Featuring sewn layflat binding with original printed patterns.

Six delicious Harrys Ciders. Brewed on Harrys farm in Long Sutton, Somerset. The Dabinett cider (also served in the cafe) won a Taste of the West Gold award 2016.


A selection of tasty Artisan Sausage Rolls. If you are familiar with The Holy Cow you will be well aware of these lushies, made by Little Jack Horners from just down the road in Mells. ‘The best sausage rolls we’ve ever tasted’ say GQ Magazine.
